Through $3,800 in camper scholarships, the Greg Gatz Memorial Foundation helped children attend Camp of the Hills, a faith-based camp serving youth from low-income and vulnerable communities. Campers enjoy outdoor activities, build confidence, form friendships, experience God’s love, and discover they are not alone. We are honored to help make this meaningful experience accessible to more children.

Through $10,980 in Christmas assistance, the Greg Gatz Memorial Foundation supported 59 local children whose families were experiencing financial hardship. This funding allowed us to provide practical help and holiday joy during a season when household budgets are often stretched the most. Our goal was to ensure that each child felt remembered, valued, and included in the celebration of Christmas while giving parents and caregivers meaningful relief.

Donations were used to purchase new clothing, shoes, and toys for the children we served. After the items were purchased, they were carefully organized, wrapped, and delivered directly to the families. By funding both everyday necessities and Christmas gifts, donor contributions helped meet immediate needs while also giving each child something special to look forward to opening on Christmas morning.

The holidays can create additional stress for families already facing financial challenges. This assistance allowed parents and caregivers to focus on celebrating together instead of worrying about how they would provide necessities and presents. For the 59 children supported, the program meant clothing, shoes, toys, and the reassurance that their community cared. Donor generosity transformed financial support into comfort, dignity, and joyful Christmas memories.
Through $3,500 in H-E-B gift cards, the Greg Gatz Memorial Foundation helped local families purchase groceries and everyday necessities. Some cards were delivered with Christmas gifts, while others were distributed during the summer with help from the local school district. This flexible assistance gave parents and caregivers the dignity to choose what their households needed most while easing financial pressure during challenging times.

Through $1,235 in support, the Greg Gatz Memorial Foundation helped provide a Christmas party for 45 children at the Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes in Marble Falls. Donations supplied pizza, cupcakes, and gifts, giving the children a joyful celebration with friends and caring adults. This support created more than a party it provided a welcoming holiday experience and special Christmas memories for every child.

The foundation has committed $5,000 for two $2,500 scholarships for 2027 high school graduates—one for a student pursuing a traditional college education and one for a student entering trade school. By recognizing both academic and skilled-trade pathways, donor support helps students take the next step toward meaningful careers with fewer financial barriers.

Through $2,500 in summer sports camp scholarships, the foundation is helping MFISD students participate in athletic opportunities that may otherwise be financially out of reach. These scholarships give young athletes the chance to stay active, develop their skills, build confidence, learn teamwork, and remain connected with coaches and classmates throughout the summer.

The foundation provided $5,000 to support food pantries at Marble Falls Middle School and Marble Falls High School. These pantries give students discreet access to shelf-stable food they can take home after school and over the weekend. Donor support helps reduce the worry of an empty pantry so students can focus more fully on learning, growing, and succeeding.

We plan to help furnish the kids’ room at the ARK Community Center for Families, creating a comfortable and welcoming space where children can read, play, relax, and feel at home while their families receive support. Donations will help provide child-friendly furniture, books, toys, storage, and other thoughtful finishing touches.
Birthday in a Box will help ensure that children experiencing financial hardship still feel remembered and celebrated on their special day. Each box will provide a cake, balloon, and gift giving families what they need to create a joyful birthday memory for their child.
The We’ve Got You Initiative will provide timely assistance when a child or family faces an unexpected need. Support may include replacing broken glasses or a lost retainer, purchasing new shoes, or providing clothing for school, a new job, or an important interview. Donations will help us respond quickly with practical assistance when it matters most.
